First two years of college, I had a 3.3 gpa, then i had transferred to a diffrent school, got a 1.87 due to illness. Came back to my first school an got a 3.5 last semester. Currently im rockin this semester, an studying my butt off for DAT's. I retook both orgos last summer cuz i bombed them last year an i got A's, also retook a couple other sciences an got B,B+. An i retook calc 1 an got an A. Im also takin the 5th year an taking all 400 level sciences. If I do good on my DAT i see no reason why i shouldnt get an interview...but then again idk...🙁

Depends what your overall GPA is unfortunately... especially right out of school. If you have below a 3.0 (and even that is risky)... you may not want to waste your $ bc many schools have cut offs at that point. You may think about boosting your GPA by enrolling in a post bacc if you dont meet that requirement. You may get in with a lower GPA but the odds are stacked against you even if you have something impressive in your personal statement. Fact is, many schools go first by raw numbers... without looking at your PS until you make that cut off. You will also likely need a 21 or better on your DAT with a low GPA without post grad work unless you are a underrepresented minority. Good luck.

What's your overall GPA?

It also depends on the illness, were you in the hospital for an extended amount of time? Do you have proof of your illness? Talk to your pre-health advisor, you may be able to get some type of waiver on your transcript that lets schools know what happened. They might even grant you some W's?

I got bronchitus 3 times, walkin pneumonia, constant ear infections, sinus infections, an pink eye twice. An yes I have proof of all my illnesses. I saved every Rx that was written to me so I could document it all. Oo just looked my GPA up. Current school im at, I have a 3.46. As for DAT's i try an do 5 hours a day mon-thurs, friday i work an saturday i do 8 hours, sunday is kaplan, then i crank out 3 more hours.
