A friend who has taken the MCAT prior to me has gifted me a 2015 Kaplan set and a 2017 BR set. I am wondering if it is worth it to try and purchase the new Kaplan set, or if the 2015 version will be just fine. Only thing that makes me a little weary is that 2015 was the first year of the new exam. I like how big picture and easy to read the Kaplan books are, as I've used them alongside my coursework before. Is it worth it to get the new set and ditch this one?

Why not use TBR?

With what you have, I would just buy an updated Kaplan Bio/Biochemistry via amazon. Then compare it to the one you have and if it's not worth it, return it.

Then use TBR for Physics/Chem/OChem.

Then use the Psych/Soc Khan academy 100pg or 300pg unofficial study guide from Reddit.

I used the 2015 Kaplan set for the test I took in March and it worked out great. However, I would buy a new psych/soc book and not use the 2015 Kaplan book one. Do some research and see which company makes the best behavioral science study book.

FWIW, I made a 514 split as 128/129/131/126, which is why I recommend using a new psych soc book.
