Does anyone know after what date is it usually not worth going to an interview? From previous discussions, it seems like some people were going to interviews when really no open spaces were available. This is like overbooking a flight.

I am not going to give you a date...I don't know what that date would be...

But, in truth, even though schools start to fill up, you never really know what might happen. Weird things do occur. Last year my dentist's cousin was on a waitlist for months and then suddenly got called to enter the class of 2009 for UOP a month before school started. I think he interviewed pretty late out there.

people change their minds...schools suddenly have spots...**** happens...I wouldn't count myself out

IMO, it's never too late if you don't have an offer in your hand from another school yet.

If one school is your top choice and they invite you to a February interview and you already have a deposit somewhere else, it's probably not worth the money to go.

Thanks for the input. Good luck to you.
