ive been working at the same place for 3 years(non medically related) at a big box store. I'm fairly sure my manager would write me a good letter. I'm applying this cycle. How would that look? I have other letters but I'm not sure how if would be viewed since it's not an "amazing" job or a clinically related

The job title doesn't matter, it's what your manager can say about you that does. This obviously does not replace a science faculty letter, but this would be an excellent "character" letter for the schools that require one, and if it will be a strong letter, it won't hurt. If your manager can speak about your leadership, dedication, work ethic, etc then I say go for it.

Seeing as I've been out of school for a few years, my boss writing a letter to be included with my committee letter packet turned out to be valuable. So definitely worth having along side other letters.

This doesn't really answer your question, but I think medical schools should absolutely look favorably upon a letter like this. Even though you're at a low level at a job that some people may not respect, being in customer or food service is definitely applicable to being a doctor.

You deal with rude customers, time-sensitive issues, and sometimes you get overloaded and just have to deal with it. Working in food service during high school taught me more about people or speaking skills than any communications or speech class ever did.

The times I had to tell people we were out of a certain entree or that there would be a long wait, you would think I was telling them that they had cancer.
