Would a prep course replace taking biochemistry?

I have not taking biochemistry I was wondering if a Kaplan course or prep course would help me with everything I need to know for the MCAT for biochem or would it be best to take biochemistry online as prep for the mcat. I cannot find a course in my area that has a lab and my school won't accept transfer credit without a lab.

Get the Kaplan Biochem book. I found it enough to get through biochem on the MCAT. Some schools actually require biochem course such as OSU, so you may want to take it if you can. It doesn't have to have a lab if I remember correctly. It just had to be 3 credits. Best thing is to check the schools you may want to apply too to see if its necessary.
