Would AAMC retroactively change MCAT scores based on new percentiles?

There are new percentiles out and they're slightly different from before. But do you think that the AAMC would actually go back and change your old scores based on the new percentiles or is it effective for exams starting from May 1st?

For instance, the AAMC released final percentile ranks for the old exam and essentially bumped 39+ to 100th percentile. Did anyone's score change from then?

I think that might be some wishful thinking.

I think the score would say the same but the percentile would be updated...a 509 would still be a 509 but it would say 82% instead of 80%. I read it somewhere on the AAMC website that applicants who apply for 2017 will have their scores reported with the updated percentiles

But maybe I misread it...after all according to CARS I cant read

From MCAT Score Reporting (big red banner at the top of the page where you go to get your score):

"Every year on May 1, the percentile ranks for the new MCAT exam will be updated using data from one or more previous testing years. For detailed information about updating percentile ranks and to preview the percentile ranks that will be introduced on May 1, 2016 please see Percentile Ranks for the MCAT Exam."
