Taking immuno next semester as well as microb. genetics so can't say much for them.
Microbiology had to be the more boring class for me (but then again it does have quite a bit of information available).
Virology classes I believe can vary. In my class it was more based on the genes and the mechanisms in which the viruses replicate and what unique genes there are in each class of viruses. Pretty fun stuff tbh and it just makes you realize that viruses are some crazy sobs.
That's gonna be a fun semester...🙄
I would recommend Virology if you have a very, very solid basis in genetics.
Otherwise it won't be fun at all and you'll be playing catch up the whole time.
It's a lot more interesting than microbiology, though. Though microbiology stuff can show up on your MCAT (a lot more so than virology) so it's nice to have that background.
They cut it before I had a chance to take it, but man did I want to.:cry:
...but I just like things like that.
