I was wondering if the courses taken in becoming a registered dental technologist (denturist) would could towards one's science GPA (after attaining B.Sc.).
Some of the courses in the program include dental anatomy, dental materials etc.

How are college courses taken into account when applying to dental school?

Most Dental Schools (~95%) rely on an organization called AADSAS to process your transcripts and GPAs. When doing so, you meticulously enter each class you took, units and grade received and then claim the class to be in the category of BCP (Biology Chemistry or Physics), other Science, or non-science. Based on what classes you enter those should be calculated into your GPA.

In my case, I graduated with a B.S. in 2005. I then took Dental Anatomy, and Anatomy of the Head and Neck through a local junior college Dental Assisting program and these grades are now included in my Science GPA through AADSAS.

thanks katalyst -- that just about answered my question. good luck to you ; )
