Would Gunner Training help w/ M1 courses?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I started it second semester. Yes, but not to a great degree. Could do a lot more with the same time commitment. Pretty good for shelves though if you take those.

Not really.... I am working with it a little now while in 2nd year to make sure I dont lose everything I learned last year. It is simply not in-depth enough to do anything other than jog memories of past study. You could get some big-picture concept quizzes out of it but I would hope your school/class has better resources for you on your first time through.

I've been using GT for the first few weeks of MS2... I have to say that it is effective at doing what it's supposed to do.

Will it get you all A's on your exam without opening your notes/textbooks? Absolutely not.

I find GT to be useful for the plug and chug, pure memory stuff like micro. "The top 3 causes of infantile bacterial meningitis are E. coli, GBS, and Listeria" That is just a fact to blindly memorize. GT will help drive facts like this into your head. It will not, however, teach you physiology to any detailed degree.

I think if you did more than memorize the first time through it is good for recall as well-not simply cramming.

👍 I dont use it but many people in my class do. The first thing they always say is "it wont help you with your classes only boards"

I dont even know how GT works. I stopped by the embryo section on fetal development and it gave me 7 quiz questions... So is that all they have for that section? Or does each section have more than just a few questions?
