Would taking one class for a potential sGPA raise of 0.08 be worth $1700? I'm waiting to get verified for this cycle and am wondering if it would be worth it to take one class or just work? Obviously i would have to resubmit new transcripts and get updated app sent out around christmas time. How would adcom view either situation?

No, unless it's to go from a 2.92 to a 3.00.

But say, a 3.21 to a 3.29? Get serious.

Work and save some money.

Would it be worth it to retake two classes this fall for a potential 0.18 sGPA increase or would any updates at that point have little to no value (3.42 --> 3.6 just incase you're wondering)

That would get you from the bottom edge of competitive to quite competitive. The median GPA for med school matriculants is 3.6.

how big of a difference would it make if the schools received the academic update around late december/early january?
