I am a non science major intending to go allopathic, and wanted to know whether not taking any other science classes other than the prereqs would look bad?
I am a psychology major with a chem minor but I will finish up the chem minor after applying to med schools. Would not taking more science classes other than the bio, chem, organic, physics look bad? I plan to take Biochem though to prepare for MCAT...only exception. Would schools overlook me because my course load would be lighter than others who take more science classes?

No problem. Do well in your prerequisites and on the MCAT and there won't be doubt as to your ability to deal with hard science material.

Agreed.

There have several friends in my med school class that weren't science majors. As long as prereqs are up to par and the MCAT isn't an issue, you'll be fine!

When one has a good BCPM GPA, capability in med school-like coursework need not be proven. But be aware that some individual med schools do require some upper-level Bio, so just be sure none of them are on your target list.
