Would schools call you this early in the game for any reason at all? How do they contact you for interviews? Usually calls are only for acceptances correct? I'm only wondering b/c I'm leaving the country, and my phone will be off, but I can still check email. Can any applicants from last cycle answer this?

How long will you be gone? Have you even submitted all your secondary applications and fees? Schools usually send you correspondence through snail mail. You get interviews through the mail as well (some schools go through email. You usually get calls only when they are missing stuff from your application.
