I'm not sure if I can count one of my letters as a science LOR

1- Organic Chem prof
2- Research PI
**(On my transcript it shows I took Bio 490 (research) with him for 6 credits.Wouldn't this be a science letter then?

The other 3 of my letters are..

3- Non profit company president I worked with
4- MD I shadowed
5- Psychology prof I researched with and also took her class.

This look like enough LORs or should I try to get 1 more from my biochem prof? Thanks!

A pre-med dean at my school said a research PI could be used instead of a science letter, but that's the only source I have on that.

Thanks! I'll talk to my pre med adviser too I guess.

I'm thinking it should count since I took 6 creds of upper level bio with him? (ever if it was just research and not a formal class)

Maybe I'll get one from my biochem prof to be safe...

Does the professor have an appointment in some science department? If yes, then yes.

Yeah he teaches multiple upper level biology classes and also the first year med students at our campus.

He has some formal position in the bio dept, just forgot the name of it.

I would like to add that some schools specifically request science letters from faculty who have taught you (Northwestern comes to mind). I would e-mail them and ask specifically.
