Sorry for all the background info, but I think it's pertnant to my situation...A little input from my friends would be nice; first a little about me, non traditional student (25 with a degree from a state university in comm / esci and an unmotivated gpa of 2.9) Went back to school at a new university doing an informal post bacc after realizing Dschool was for me...so far have completed all but the 2nd physics and Ochem and have a 3.2 gpa (a B- in Ochem I brought it down a bit)..the school I am currently at is in a very rural area with litte to no job opportunities to pay for school.
In my previous degree I had a couple transfers chasing an athletic career....didn't work out. Now I've been offered a nice job on the other side of the state that will be a big help in paying bills and won't cut into my studies too much while I take Ochem II Phys II and Biochem and maybe another Science booster. My question is will it be a red flag if I transfer to a less prestigious university but do well for the remainder of my pre reqs? Or do you think that because I have proved I can handle science courses at a major university I will be okay considering I do well (all A's at the lesser University?
Any and all input is greatly appreciated
