I think at least 4 guys (out of 35) brought their girlfriends to my interview this morning. The girls were coaching them and helping them to relax. Anyone else ever see this?

no, don't bring your girl to your interview. it's lame. man up and make a statement on your own.

21 @UNLV
48 @Ohio State
4@case

there were 20 at maryland

Ohio state also offers for you to bring someone.

Take your significant other along for the roadtrip. Leave them at the hotel with movies and popcorn while you're interviewing. Then, if you have time, take a tour of the city.

I'll second that, that's what I always do.

The people who are against bringing girlfriends are probably the same ones who can't get them :meanie:

i don't think it is a good idea. my bf of 4 yrs. has travelled with me to several of my interviews, but he stays in the hotel room or wanders around the town to check it out. i think it looks weird and unprofessional to bring someone other than a spouse, and you certainly shouldn't bring someone unless they are invited.

bringing someone else is rather unprofessional. have some sense. absolutely don't bring a gf/bf. bringing a spouse is still not a great idea. more understandable than bf/gf, but still not the best idea. go in yourself. do your business, and move on.

And the people who do take their girlfriends don't have the guts to say NO.......Translation: MEOW WHIPPED!

I would never take my sig other into the school, but Ohio State did invite her so I brought her. Otherwise I agree that they aren't invited you were.

Interview plus relaz with girlfirend...

bringing your gf/mommy/daddy/SO to the actual INTERVIEW? lame.

bringing your support group and leavin them behind at the hotel so you can meet up later? smart.

I agree especially since they weren't discrete about it. I was at the interview session and one guy, during the overview, had his hand between his gf's legs!!!

Actually I thought of one situation in which I would bring my girlfriend to an interview: If by some stroke of luck she had an interview at the same school, on the same day 😛 (She's a pre-dent too)

I have a beautiful GF but I would not bring her to my interviews.. its not so professional.

I doubt which one is dumber.. bringing GF/BF or daddies/mommies?

by the way, at UMDNJ, there were 4 pairs of mommies and daddies.😀 🙄

C'mon people~! this is not a field tripp!!
its a INTERVIEW~~!!

haha, I was just poking fun everyone 🙂 Don't take it too seriously 😀

at iowa recently there were a few tagalongs, and it was weird, to say the least

personally, i think i'd enjoy going to my interview destination solo. my dad met me in gainesville for my UF interview and it made me far more nervous. the constant "you'll do great"... "how would you answer this..", etc, etc. only made me more nervous.

i'd love to just chilllllll and not be bothered by anyone prior to the big day.

I think there were only 16 at my Colorado interview today (four groups of four). But I may be wrong, since I was 30 minutes late. 😛

At my Iowa interview, there was a guy who had his MD daddy there with him.
