What if you discovered your medical school was kidnapping homeless people, killing them and using their cadavers for anatomy class, would you relinquish your spot in the incoming class?

Assume that you are the only person who knows of this horrible secret and that it has not been leaked to the press or AAMC.
I would gladly attend med school on the condition that they visit Austin and clean up the streets here. It would be great to be able to learn something from the bums who harass me daily; at least then they can serve society, and it's an incentive for them to make something of themselves.

"You're fired!"

This thread would perhaps be more at home in the Lounge. I for one think that it was a kind of funny thread in a bizarre South Park way. My friends in school used to like to play Would You Rather? An example follows: Would you rather swallow five razor blades or beat yourself in the head with a brick until you are unconscious. Many people seem to like to shock themselves and sometimes the only response is to laugh, not because it's really funny, but the only other alternative is to recoil in horror.

I work in the ICU at my community hospital and sometimes I'm amazed at what subjects end up being funny. I guess when you work constantly around such conditions eventually you make light of some of it. I don't think that means that you are no longer empathetic.

That being said, I think instead of the homeless, we should take CEOs.
