My answer to the OP's question: No, not worth it.
lol @ all the ppl willing to sell their soul, then single payer hits and their dream of being a doctor immediately starts sucking. now that would be ironic, wouldn't it?
whats a soul?
take your pick:
1.
the principle of life, feeling, thought, and action in humans, regarded as a distinct entity separate from the body, and commonly held to be separable in existence from the body; the spiritual part of humans as distinct from the physical part.
2.
the spiritual part of humans regarded in its moral aspect, or as believed to survive death and be subject to happiness or misery in a life to come: arguing the immortality of the soul.
3.
the disembodied spirit of a deceased person: He feared the soul of the deceased would haunt him.
4.
the emotional part of human nature; the seat of the feelings or sentiments.
5.
a human being; person.
6.
high-mindedness; noble warmth of feeling, spirit or courage, etc.
7.
the animating principle; the essential element or part of something.
8.
the inspirer or moving spirit of some action, movement, etc.
9.
the embodiment of some quality: He was the very soul of tact.
10.
Christian Science . God; the divine source of all identity and individuality.
11.
shared ethnic awareness and pride among black people, esp. black Americans.
12.
deeply felt emotion, as conveyed or expressed by a performer or artist.
u sir, are awesome.
on a side note, each one of these sound more childish + stupid than the next one. i am not mocking u, i am just saying those ideas are just plain stupid.

Gotta love dictionary.com 👍
I disagree. I believe all creeds and religions should be insulted equally. That's why I'm an equal opportunity offender of peoples' sensibilities. They aren't stupid, they just different reflect a different belief system. I am not trying to be hostile, but I wish more people could recognize that although they might not share the same beliefs as others, they shouldn't mock them and dismiss them.
I don't understand Islam, but that doesn't mean I should go around insulting the prophet Mohammed. A decent respect for other's beliefs should be expected as a modicum of human courtesy.
I'd do it. I'm an atheist. Who cares?
My soul is so valuable, satan would be clamoring to get it with the best offer he could muster. You know, there are all these people saying, "o, well I'd also demand immortality" (good luck with that--just how much do you think your soul is worth?), but no one really specifies any conditions on that.
You want to be immortal under ordinary circumstances but still killable in the event of beheading or staking or maybe immortal but somewhat less than ageless, where you may be 10292 years old but decrepit and immobile?
Be specific!

I'd sell my soul for ageless indestructibility. You don't die, you don't age, you simply exist in your current form until the heat death of the universe.Seriously, the Devil totally pwns the pants off any other A-hole genie you've ever heard of. You need a lawyer to draw up the contract on that... but all the good ones work for him anyway, right? 😉
And then what? Do you just float there? You'd probably get bored enough to let the Devil take you just to change it up. He still gets ya'.
I can't get to cracked.com at work, but they did a list a few months ago about why immortality would suck.
I would prefer an eternity of floating around in space to an eternity fiery torture. I would figure at some point I would go crazy and at that point who really cares.
And on the why immortality would suck thing: What's wrong with not wanting to die?
Nothing, but it was just the caveats of living forever.
I think this is it. Got it from the properties of the link in a Google search.

I have the rest of eternity. Why would I care about the few years or decades it takes someone to figure out how to be immortal?Nobody Can Ever Find Out
And? Why would I need to remember the name of someone I've meet 500 years ago? You're Still Getting Older (Mentally)
So what? I can be like The Doctor and focus on new and interesting cultures. People may become insignificant but I will still be able to experience the feeling, instead of the other option... you know: nonexistence.Time Speeds Up Until You're Insane
... now thats a good point. I'll probably try to avoid enclosed areas. You'll Eventually Get Trapped Somewhere
That's like asking me if I would take a million dollars but in return I have to be tortured by the tooth fairy.
