Took your unanimous advice and bought the x box.

Got the Halo 3 limited edition box...(read:Best Buy was outta the regular 360... had Halo 3 box and the arcade version so I paid 50 bucks more for a pretty xbox 360 that doesnt do anything special)

My four year old is sittin' here playin Lego Star Wars and I'm marveling at the graphics! My 55" Sony is apparently pre-1080P since the x box won't accept that 60 frames/second mode.....but even 1080i (30 frames/sec) looks phenom.

Have taken a few looks at Call of Duty 4 when my gorillas are asleep....have only seen the training stuff where you get the weapons, fire at targets, slice a watermelon, talk to the officer, run through a course where you slide down a rope, etc....

looks awesome.

Cant wait to sit down with some Patron on ice and blow some s h it up.

Ahh the Orange Box has about 5 games on it. All worthy of love. I'd pick it up and start playing Portal after about an hour of Half Life 2. You'll be hooked.

Yeah... but before that... get past the watermelons. They tend not to fight back. 😀

Engage the enemy on the battlefield. Hooked in seconds flat.

If your wife and kinds aren't home... Turn up the surround sound, take a couple of extra sips of Mr. P. Anejo and get lost in the game.

I = kraphtymac on XBL. On 53 of first prestige, hopefully taking my second plunge tonight. It sucks to lose all your weapons, but you learn to murder with the MP5 and M16. And you kinda like those little medals.

See you out there. Servers seem to running much better now. How many decided to do prestige mode?

I did, I'm on level 34 on the first prestige. I'm going for the red tiger camo on the m16 and mp5. Used the M4 mostly on the first round, but am figuring out how to time the trigger pulls to get the triple burst just right on the m16.

My only complaint about the game, I wish you could simultaneously put a red dot sight or a scope with a silencer on the assault and subs.
I also wish they would have incorporated the leaning feature found on Ghost Recon (Also a sweet series if you're looking for another nice FPS, although admittedly COD4 has got me hooked for now, mainly for the challenges, unlockables, etc).

Also would be nice to have a silencer unlockable for the sniper rifles.

A silencer for a LMG is prob a bit of a stretch though 🙂, although I bet it would sound pretty sweet.
