Hey guys, i am still deciding between the two. While the people at wright state seemed much nicer and the atmosphere much better, cincinatti has more of a city-like environment, is ranked higher, and has a great pediatrics program (possible interest). Please let me know what you think.

Also, those waitlisted for OSU College of Medicine who have recently gotten in, please respond to let me know if there's any movement of the waitlist or hope.

got accepted to UC and am going to a much lower tier school (convenience of wife's education/career played a major role). seriously go where you envision yourself the happiest and most successfull. You can go into pediatrics from wsu I am sure. If one school has more opportunities that cater to your needs take it, but the whole ranking/prestige thing is overhyped on sdn. How many allo schools are there like 120, The big names don't crank out enough graduates to severely limit graduates from the less prestigious institutions. Make your decision for yourself

Hey Luv2dance, I know friends at both schools, and both seem to be pretty happy at both. As always, it all comes down to personal preference pretty much. UC has more things to do, city environment, etc. and more prestige... while Wright St. seems to have a smaller, more peaceful environment. I would take a look at match lists at both schools to see how well most people match into what they want, variety, etc. Good luck

as a UC student, but i've been very happy here the past few years and have made some very influential contacts in the process. the friends i've made are fantastic, though i'm sure you'd make friends wherever you end up. the city does have some awesome things to do especially if you're into the art/music scene. there will also be brand new facilities by the time you'd start so consider that as well. good luck!

If you're in-state, you stand a decent chance at getting in off the deferred list. In previous years, they have been known to go through a substantial portion of the deferred list to fill the class. (Varies from year to year, though).

I honestly don't think they admit hardly anybody off the deferred list between the end of interviews and May 15th. I know several people who got in off the deferred list the week following May 15th (myself included), some in June, and a couple in July.
