3 options I feel are pretty different. I have ties/family in Dayton, Northern KY, and Washington DC; I feel like I can't go wrong, but would also value SDN collective wisdom!

Wright State:
Pros:
-established program
-best feeling from the interview

Cons:
-lots of loans

UK Northern Kentucky
Pros:
-minimal loans (living expenses, first-year OOS tuition difference)
-very experienced dean

Cons:
-Brand new MD program
-lectures will be all tele-conferenced from the Lexington campus (I'm a lecture person, I like to see my profs face to face)

USUHS
Pros:
-In with the public health service (I want to go into public health)
-unique opportunities
-no loans

Cons:
-10 year commitment post-residency
-limited specialty choices (primary care fields)
-military medicine gets a bad rap on SDN - maybe things will be different in the PHS, but that's an unknown

How much weight do I place on established program vs minimal loans vs job security so solid it feels a little crushing? Really at a loss here, please advise!

How high is COA/COL at Wright State?

You need to be sure you’re all in if you do the USUHS commitment. 10 years is a long time. The time goes faster than you think, but I’d gauge whether it was worth it based on what you’d like to consider doing in public health and whether connections you make through that route would help you attain your career goals.

Between Wright State and KY I’d say it depends on the loans and how important the lecture setup will be to you since you said it matters.

I can only give input towards Wright State (it is likely where I will be attending). When you say you're a lecture person, are you saying that you like traditional lectures or more the access to professors? If you like the traditional lecture style it is important to note that with the new curriculum at Wright State it is flipped classroom style. So my understanding is while you will see professors for PBLs, TBLs, etc. as far as I know there won't be any traditional lectures.
