I'm applying this cycle and I have my PS done which centers around overcoming the barriers of being hard-of-hearing which ties into my volunteering and desire to be a physician and representative of my community, I was wondering if this would be a detriment to my application? My hearing is in the moderate-severe range but most people don't realize it until they see the hearing aids. Should I wait until the interview to talk about it (or secondaries), or is it ok to bring up in the PS? I don't think I would require any accommodations, but I am worried about schools tossing out my application after reading the PS.

You'll be fine. There are many physicians who have hearing impairments. One of my colleagues in residency was completely deaf and had a cochlear implant. No one cared (though many were curious to learn more). Your academic record will speak for itself. Good luck
