Writing 2 pages on personal statement?

so... I have about 750 words and it goes to 2 pages on ERAS. is that bad? should I cut down? will PD's hate me for writing too much?

Not sure if the formatting has changed, but it used to be that the typical PS was about 600 words and would fit on one page.
