Hey guys,
In my Personal Statement, I wrote about how the first dentist I ever shadowed influenced my decision to pursue dentistry. This experience was from some time in high school. The dentist I asked for a rec letter, on the other hand, is one I shadowed more recently. Do you think it's a red flag if the dentist I write about in my PS and the one who's written my letter are different? Especially since I don't mention the rec letter dr in my PS. Please let me know your thoughts~

The dentist who wrote my rec letter and the one I mention in my PS are different too. I wrote about what about saw while shadowing in public health in my PS and what I learned and how that affected my approach to dentistry. My rec letter is from a dentist who has become like a mentor to me and volunteered to write it. Dental schools want your personal statement to be why dentistry and your letters to be from people who know you and your character really well so you should be totally fine.
