Are you allowed to write on your scratch paper, say, during the worthless tutorial section? I think it might be useful to use those ten minutes to reason through some of your tougher orgo reactions and get them down on paper for reference, same with some of the physics. Is this legal? Similarly, can you write on the scratch during a break or at the title screen of any section?

Has anyone gotten in trouble for doing this? Trying to decide if I should try it when I take the test on Tuesday.

I don't see how it's against the rules.

You've given your ID and fingerprints, you're inside the testing room, they've given you your scratch paper and pencils. At that point, whatever you want to write is none of their damn business.

If it's not forbidden, then it is allowed. Just don't ask for permission because if they say "no" then it would be forbidden. You know what I mean?

Yup, easier to ask for forgiveness (or not to get noticed during an exam) than to ask for permission.

Wow, that's actually a pretty neat idea, I didn't think of that at all. I think I'll do the same thing, hopefully it's allowed/it won't be noticed if it isn't. Ochem is not exactly my strong suit, so jotting down some reactions early on would definitely help my nerves, lol. 🙂
