writing your own LOR?

So I asked my PIs and MD bosses to write me a LOR and they were very happy to. "Just give us a draft and we'll add to it." WTF? how do I write my own LOR? has anyone encountered this?

Yeh man. It is not uncommon in academia. I had to do it once too, fortunately not for the med school app process though. It tough, but at least you know the gist of what will be sent out.

This thread is an old one, but I think it'll help you out. When you finish your draft, also give your boss a copy of your CV/resume. That let's them add statements about your accomplishments as well.

i guess ill google sample LORs. and see what it is about. I have no idea how to sell myself, but i guess its good practice for my personal statement.
