Ok guys, it seems like many of us on here are writing "our own LOR". Mine is for a dentist who I shadowed, she basically wants me to tell her what to say so she can write it. I'm fine with that, I get it shes busy etc.

So...for those who have written their own LOR's or are working on your own...WHERE DID YOU START!? I am so lost, I feel so awkward writing about how amazing I am.

Also, I feel weird writing about specific moments I experiences with this dentist because they might not even remember them...and it is just so weird to be fabricating their point of view.

How are you guys dealing with this? I've never even read a letter of recommendation before, since they have all been "confidential" so I don't even know what the format is.

dude, sorry to hear that, thats weird. can you give her an outline to make it easy for her to follow. like write some questions that she can answer in paragraph form?
