wRVU

Cant really answer this question without more info/what type of position you’re looking at. What happens if you do/don’t hit that threshold? What is the $/wRVU? What are they using for wRVU equivalents for various CPT codes?

4500 wRVUs is higher than what I’ve seen for what is typically expected for a full-time job, but again can’t really know without what I mentioned above.

2020 and earlier wRVUs, no that is bad. Should be less than 4000. Ideally ~3600.

However, wRVU values changed with 2021 for some of the codes. I'm no longer in the wRVU coal mine so I don't know how the Big Box shops are doing things lately to keep you owned by the company store. To translate, RVU values went up for some outpatient codes, which should directly translate to higher pay for outpatient docs. That was the intention of the RVU / CMS/ RUC/ whatever committees that made these changes. So Big Box shops should be paying their docs more per the contracts. Real world, they likely won't, but instead keep the increase income themselves [insert Scat reason here] or double down and blame covid as the source of all evil and that further sacrifice is needed from you to further support the expenses in wasteful areas. The wRVU goal post will likely also be moved and inflated to 4500, or even 5000 or 8000 or whatever as a result of this...
