I would like to encourage anyone who is interested to post anything about their interview experience(s), absolutely anything, that they think might be helpful for others to know....a sort of interview manual if u will.....the idea is really just to help make the interview process as a whole a little more comfortable and understandable experience (if thats even possible)....just thought i'd experiment a little here and see if anyone is interested, i think it could be a productive thread if people take it seriously (which, in its own right, could be a problem). n e ways....beeeeeeyyyyaaaaaahhhhhhhhh!!!! 😎

lol, your avatar is great, thanks for the link, i'm familiar with that data base....i'm thinking more in terms of a broader more personal scope here, not just what questions did they ask....anything....for example, "i got up the morning before my interview and had 4 shots of tequila to take the edge off, subsequently my interview was going great until I started talking about the last time i went to the gentlemens club and woke up on the floor of the bathroom with some guy named bubba demanding i pay my tab before i try leaving again" 😎

I'll get the ball rolling. Don't fly in the morning of your interview and go straight from the airport to the school.

If you decide to fly in that morning, drink LOTS of coffee before the presentation. Otherwise you might end up sitting in the front row and falling asleep...while the Director of Admissions is speaking.

*this wasn't me btw*

Presentations can be long and boring so be prepared. 😉

But trying to hold in 16 gallons of urine during the middle of an hour long speech on finacial aid is no fun either...I plan on going astronaut style and strapping a urine bag to my leg 😎

I agree. Get ready for some seriously boring presentations. I recommend you sit towards the front edge of the chair if you are in an auditorium.

I had baylor interview and they had us sit in a conference room, and all the sudden the lights go out and this lady starts talking about financial aid, before you know it my heads bobbing back and forth..

Ok Ok, I should be studying, but heres a great one..... I had my only/first interview, I brought all my gear - suit, tie, shoes, notebook, pens etc..... I got to my interview about an hr early (cause I didnt want to wear my suit in the car for over 3 hrs...) So I figured i'd just change there... Anyhow, im getting dressed and I go to put on my socks, I accidentally grabbed a pair of my mothers socks from the laundry basket, I thought they were my dress socks... Well anyhow, they didnt even come up to the heel of my foot... I was horrified, every time I sat down in the suit, you could clearly see my whole ankle and that I had no socks on (Black slacks, pasty white ankles and black shoes make an interesting contrast) ... This is where I had to pull a Mcguyver... I took a razor I had in the car - cut the front of the socks open and pulled them all the way up - then busted out a roll of tape and taped them to my foot just below the shoe line so they wouldnt ride up mid interview... inside my shoe I was completely barefoot with just the socks around my ankles... I had to walk around in a pair of tight shoes with no socks for the whole tour... Plus it was winter, so my feet were freezing... It was awful... but pretty damn funny looking back... Moral of the story... Check EVERYTHING before you go.....

P.S. I was WAITING for the question on the interview - "tell us something we don't know about you from your application" if my interviewer had a sense of humor - I would have told them....
