Wow. The vibes of this hotel is "the shining" meets "eccentric grandma."

Seriously, this is one of the most bizarre looking hotels I think I've ever seen.

I particularly love the attention they draw to mahjong weekend this month, where they're "bringing the newest craze" to the hotel. 😂

If it wasn't a very expensive old southern resort, you would look at it and say it needed major updating. I was there in October for a meeting. Dinner for 6 came to $1400 when you factored in the wine.

The Dorothy Draper interior design is interesting at first but becomes more subtle later.

Yes it can be expensive but there lesser dining options as well. To note reps will normally pay for dinners like most conference’s etc if you don’t mind listening to them.

Many activities for family. Also there is a decommissioned government bunker.

Can fly into Charleston WV but can drive from dc, Richmond or Roanoke etc.

lol

I could have sworn I’ve heard about this resort though, I think it’s a swanky meeting place for conservative politicians and schmoozing

WV new Senator Jim Justice and his dog own it and will be roaming the halls ha ha ha

i went there for a family retreat a couple months ago. it is pricey, but the golf course is nice and they have horses, pools, ice skating, falconing, a casino, etc. didnt love it, but didnt hate it, either. food was a 6/10. if you have a rich uncle or grandfather willing to foot the bill it is worth it. otherwise, meh

The food there doesn't suit your taste or why do you rate it so low. I also want to bring my family here on my next vacation, but the thing I care about most is the food here because I'm a very picky eater.

old fashioned. feels like they put out a lot f it. specialty restaurants are ok, but this is the middle of west virginia and nothing has changed there in decades. how good could it be?

This looks like an awesome event. Always wanted to check it out. Golf must be cool there too.

Reminder of this upcoming conference.

at meeting I will be updating everyone on the upcoming West Virginia senate bill 810 where they want to let nurses do interventional pain in WV and how we are fighting it tooth and nail.
