WVSOM for those that retook the mcat in august 2005

For those who applied to WVSOM and retook the mcat in august.. when did you turn in your application.. I'm taking my mcat this coming august and plan on turning in my application right on june 1 and on my application i marked "retaking mcat in august of 2006" I was wondering if the school would even look at my application and reject me b/c of my lower mcat score or would they wait for my august mcat score to come back? If anyone went through this process can you please tell me your experience and if it's not too personal your stat and the outcome whether or not you got into wvsom and when was your interview etc... thanks a lot guys.. I heard that WVSOM only send out secondary if they're interested in you.. which is great b/c you dont have to waiste a lot of money..

i retook the august mcat (both april and august i scored in the low twenties) and i submitted my primary application september fifth, received my invitation to interview october-ish, and i interviewed december first. The interview was so laid back and the interviewers were really friendly. Once you get the interview you have to go onto their website and logon with the id they give you and that is where you do your secondary....i didn't realize that and i almost showed up empty handed lol. not long after the interview i was accepted. good luck!

I'm not sure I understand-- did you say that you already marked that you were taking the August MCAT? You can't begin filling out the 2007 application until mid may. In any case, different schools may have different policies. Generally, if you have marked that you are taking the August MCAT, they will not reject you prior to that. It is always a good idea, however, to contact the admissions offices of the schools you are applying to and talk to them about your situation. That way, when your application is received, they already know a little bit about you.

ooopss yeah well i haven't start the application process yet for 2007 b/c it's not open but when i do i'll mark it.. i did call the office today but the lady was a bit confusing and i didn't want to keep on bothering her w/ questions.. anyway thanks for the reply
