Hello! I am trying to decide between these two schools and was wondering if any/all of you could help with my pro con list!

I think my brain got used to the idea of going to ACOM and I wasn't expecting (but am very happy) an acceptance from WVSOM. I think the main question I have right now are about rotations.

ACOM, although such a new school, seemed very established in their rotation sites and I just didn't get a lot of information from WVSOM so any light shed on that would be very helpful. I don't really want to have to do a ton of work/worrying in my fourth year searching for rotation sites and would really appreciate a lot of help and connections from the school itself, which is the impression I got from ACOM. Again, didn't really get a whole lot of info from WVSOM at the interview.

Thanks!

As I understand all rotations at WVSOM are done within the state (to me this is a plus). They set up 3rd year rotations for you and I believe electives if done in state as well (4th year can be done anywhere). Couple of the hospital rotation sites have several in house residencies. I don't know much about ACOMs rotations, but I do know that the students seem to be enjoying it so far from what I gather on SDN.

The students probably could answer the questions far better than I.

The question is are you an instate student for WVSOM? if not go with ACOM.

ACOM also sets up 3rd year rotations for you, and they have sites to choose from (located in Alabama, Georgia, and Florida). They have 1 or 2 in house residencies as of now, and I believe they are planning on setting up a couple more.
