Hi there, hope this helps a bit. My interview was very laid back and friendly. It was more like a conversation than anything. They asked the expected questions: "Why dentistry?" 'Why WVU?" but I think more than anything, they just want to get a sense of how personable you are. My best advice is to review your application the night before, in case they ask you anything about it, and just go in there and be yourself. They aren't there to scare the hell out of you, they just want to get to know you. Overall, my experience was nothing like what I thought it would be. I expected a firing squad, and got friendly communication.
As far as the interview day proceedings go, you have a writing assessment (fairly basic...10 minutes to answer some questions in short-answer form); manual dexterity assessment (also really straightforward. Don't worry, no one is expecting you to carve a tooth with perfect anatomy. That's what dental school is for. 🙂 ); lunch with some dental students (pick their brains...they can give you a great idea of life as a student, and the chat with them can spark some good ideas for questions to ask the adcom); a short tour; and finally, your interview.
Hope this helps, Notgivinup!! 🙂 Remember, relax and enjoy the fact that you've made it to this stage!!
