I'm sure as a last resort it would work but I imagine that gets very costly very fast. Have you checked the local libraries to see if they have study rooms that could be good for this? Even some of your other community buildings could suffice, or if you have friends that work during the day you could use their apartment.

I have a few zoom interviews next month and don't know where to do them. My home situation isn't great (both parents work from home, loud siblings, dogs barking, lots of people on the internet at all times) and my UG is still restricting building access, even to alumni, due to Covid.

Thinking of getting a hotel room to guarantee some degree of privacy and maintaining a professional background. Thoughts? Anyone else been in a similar situation?
I'd be careful at hotels, since the wifi can be hit or miss, given the bandwith you need for Zoom, and you'll be screwed if you have a problem at the last minute, or after you've begun.

If you can't get the family to cooperate for a few hours, don't you have friends, family or neighbors who can help?
