Xrays read an hour needed to make a living?

They pay so shockingly little. How many radiographs is everyone reading an hour in their practice?

20-30/hour is probably average.

X ray should not be paid based on rvu. It should either be a shared responsibility where everyone chips in, paid on a different productivity scale than rvu, or be a flat salaried shift
 
My place spreads it out during the day shift and for pay-per-click after hours, they get a 1.5x multiplier (despite that it still is the least efficient thing to pick up).
 
It's definitely not the bulk of my group's PF load, but in cases where we've picked up PF telework from new business the rate we're getting from them makes it worth it. Some places are drowning in PF and are happy to unload a couple hundred PF's a day at nearly $80-100/RVU overall.

Some of my group's telework is literally PF-only but at a high rate of reimbursement.
