Don't expect an answer. He'll never respond in his own threads.

Haha, oh my! I am corrected 👍
Oh my, that is the first time I have seen Chankovsky respond to his own thread. Has anyone seen any flying pigs? 😉

The reason you want to go there is because you want to be a physician and it is an easy to get into and the curriculum are P/F and you likes the hot chicks there.

I see pigs flying all over the place. Could this also be his first thread that doesn't hint he's into medicine for superficial reasons ? 😱

there are hot chicks @yale med?

haah i was about to ask teh same thing. What's their average matriculats GPA/Mcat score, as well as their EC?

you have to be ugly; otherwise they suspect your level of intelligence.

hella easy if you are one of those mediocre 4.0 35+ research/EC applicants.

Oh man and I thought I would have to work for it, it should be no problem with my 4.5 gpa and 44T mcat score.

Yale has a really good attitude and the students there really like it.

"The Yale System" basically means they don't treat you like a child. They KNOW you are going to learn medicine, and their concern is for you to be the best person you can be, aside from that.

They are very supportive, and let their students pursue the goals they want, not follow some cookie-cutter formula.

The location sucks.

This is slightly unrelated, but I didn't want to start a new thread just for it.

I just checked my Yale status page, and it still says that they haven't received anything (though I sent the money and secondary a couple weeks back). I should assume this is just more Ivy League dilly-dallying, right? I mean, at what point should I give them a ring?

from the time that you sent the last piece of req'd material in, give them a month or so. i've never heard of anyone having a problem with his app that was indicated by his status page not being updated.

they're really slow. it took them over a month to update my stuff. I called them once and the lady was really nice-she basically told me to just wait, they'll get to it. 👍

Having gone to undergrad at Yale the past four years -- I have to say it's a great school, with tons of resources for you to take advantage of. The interview experience sucks there -- the only reason I knew it was so great was that I came from there -- they should do a better job of selling the school. But the 100 matriculants every year will definitely love it there. New Haven is not that bad, and you'll enjoy campus life there among the active students in all the other schools which is very close - no long bus rides needed to get from one place to another.
