How is the PM feature different than the private message feature that's always been around ???
(or are people just beginning to take advantage of the PM feature??)

If you go to the main forum page, under your screen name in the upper left, it should tell you if you have any new messages.

And, this screen pops up when you opt to go back to the main forum page telling you how many new PMs you have. Isn't it nifty?

its annonying- because it keeps popping up for the PM's you already read - Everytime you go to the main forum screen.

It only stops if you delete the entire inbox. I think it needs some finetuning

It doesn't pop-up except for new messages. If it pops-up at other times, it's because of your browser's cookies. Clear the cookies in your browser and after a few times, it should stop.

I'll turn off the pop-up feature for those people that don't like it. But you can still see your # of PMs on the top of the main page and the "Today's Active Topics" page.
