How do you guys feel about taking a year off after graduating college instead of applying after junior year and starting dental school right after your senior year?

Does this break affect your chances of admission? By taking a year off I feel that I will be able to prepare more/better for the DAT and relax before presumably four very tough years.

This is actually pretty common for Harvard pre-meds. They take 2 years off to do something else, usually Teach for America. Med school admissions see it as a move towards maturity.
