soo... stats below.. took a year off(due to extreme circumstances/personal issues) and got my stuff together

OGPA 3.3
SciGPA 3.7

DAT------pending june 27th

90 hours shadowing
80 volunteering
premed/dental club
deans list
developed and ran a fundraiser for Alzheimer's organization
and worked 30 hrs a week throughout undergrad

13 consecutive A's and one B through last 3 semesters... majority science classes(Bio 1 & 2, Chem 1&2, OChem 1&2, Cell Bio, and all labs) were all A's.

Is science GPA looked at higher than Overall??
Also Are upward trends looked at closely?? Went from 2.5 GPA TO 3.3 in a year and a half(got my Shi#t together basically..... pulled 3.9 Gpa for last three semesters)

would a 20 AA give me decent chances???

You should be good. Yes an upward trend is always considered. Getting a 20 AA should give you a good handful of interviews assuming you do decent in all your sections. Let us know how your DAT goes!

^what the person above said. hard to say anything without DAT scores in hand. your gpa is perfectly fine.

Working my way through chads, Kaplan , cliffs, and destroyer as we speak... Everyday till the day of the test.. Hoping for the magic 20+ AA

Will def be posting after my test with results...

Try this mentality - Aim for 25. Accept anything above a 20.

You got the tools for a 20+, do you have a DAT test program? I would suggest purchasing one if not, helps with timing especially on QR, RC and PAT.

What programs would you reccomend?

Also do you guys recommend CRackDat Pat or something else for PAT??

CDP and Achiever. If you want to see images that look like the ones you will get in the actual test get the 2009 DAT from the ADA.

Do all 10 tests for crackDAT PAT and take it seriously. If I can get 22 with terrible astigmatism in both eyes, then you can.

Some ppl told me too score over achiever.. Is achiever the confidence killer??

From what I heard, yes DAT Achiever is a confidence killer. I didn't bother using it and still did fine on the DAT. However I've heard of stories of people who scored extremely high because of it. It's up to you if you want to take a stab at it, but don't worry if you decide not to.
