Yet another ACCOMAS grade replacement question

I took university physics I and II about 8 years ago when i was an engineering major. I got a D in U physics II. These courses were calculus based. I plan on taking College Physics II which is algebra based and is worth 4 credits like the calculus based physics. I tried emailing ACCOMAS about whether they would replace it. i still have not heard back from them.is this possible? given a choice i rather take the algebra based physics.

I would appreciate any feedback.

Don't want to give you false info or misinform you, but I think they will replace it. I think as long as its Physics II, it will be replaced. I may be wrong, people here should know the answer. Good luck!

That would be like replacing pre-professional chemistry with allied health/nursing chemistry, wouldn't it? One is arguably easier than the other, and they're actually different.

When taking the physics sequence, I doubt ADCOMS care whether it's algebra-based or calculus-based. Since your issue's grade replacement though, I'd assume that calc-based had to be replaced with the same course, calc-based.

I'm only a tiny, lowly pre-med giving an opinion based on what I've heard from advisers though. Please take my advice with grains of salt.... and pepper.

I don't think you will have an issue with the replacement since they are both Physics 2. Even at my undergrad institution they were interchangeable and you couldn't receive credit for both, so I don't see why AACOMAS would give you an issue.

AACOMAS only gives you an issue when something obvious is off, like the number of credits or two courses that sound completely different. If the course descriptions/names are a little different it shouldn't be an issue provided that the courses are similar enough. Obviously, if you already took it, you should just label it as a replacement and see if they are OK with it.

I thought I saw someone in the past say they didn't replace a calculus nased physics with an algebra based physics

I would look for a calc-based one, better to not take a gamble on it.
