Your Achiever TS vs Your DAT TS

Hey everyone,

I'm taking the DAT next Wednesday and my final Achiever practice test this weekend. To anyone who has already taken the DAT and did the Achiever practice tests: I was wondering if you wouldn't mind telling me what your Achiever practice scores were compared to what you got on the DAT? I'm hoping to get a point higher than what I'm getting in Achiever, and I was curious if the trend was upward on the DAT. Did anyone get lower scores on the DAT than what they got in Achiever? Below are my acheiver scores. On the real test I got:

PA-20
BIO-22
CHEM-29
OCHEM-23
QR-17
RC-19
TS-24
AA-22

Acheiver 1
BIO-18; CHEM 18; OCHEM 22; QR 16; PA 15; TS 19; RC 20
2
BIO 17; CHEM 18; OCHEM 21; QR 18; PA 17; TS 19; RC20
3
BIO 16; CHEM 18; OCHEM 28; PA 17; QR 18;RC 22; TS 19

As you can see, I actually did better for the most part on the real exam. Acheiver's QR and Reading were the only sections I would say are easier than the real test. Everything else is pretty comparable.

Thanks for your post. That was helpful. You destroyed the Gen Chem section -- way to go! 29 ... wow. It seems like there is a slightly upward trend from Achiever to the DAT, at least from what I've seen on these boards. I'm getting 18-19 overall on Achiever, and I've been pushing for a 20 or higher, so I'm hoping I can bump it up a little when I take the real test. I'm nervous, but I've put a ton of time and effort into it so hopefully it goes well.

Anyone else? 🙂
