As there has been a lot of talk on here lately about costs of health care and trying to figure out where Obama is planning on taking things. I was interested in the feasability of the type of practice in this article.
Basically there is a doctor in NY, Dr. Muney who was charging patients $79/month for care plus a $10 charge when care was rendered. The patients could come as often as needed during regular business hours and he would treat colds to minor surgeries, anything he was set up for in his office basically.
The State then said he was acting as an insurance company and therefore couldn't work under this pay arrangement. Haven't searched for updates but assuming he wins his case and can keep charging his way is this a feasible plan for PCP?
