your specific interests for each school?

Many schools ask us to write about the reasons for our specific interest in that school. Can someone please tell me what kinds of things we can write for questions like that? I was thinking of writing about the courses, but almost all schools have the same courses. Besides location, I don't know what else to write. Please help.

Location is one important thing. Another is if family went to the same school. Most important probably is if you know the school has certain strengths or programs that interest you, and how you plan to take advantage of them etc.

Mostly I think they want to make sure you can articulate something sane in an understandable manner!

I normally look through the information they sent me and what ever they have on the web. From this, I reiterate some of the strengths they have already highlighted in their catalog, explaining how I would fit in well with their system.
