Your Work & Activities Section: Where to Begin (part 4 of 4)

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
To improve your W&A writing experience and the quality of your entries, try this:

Craft your stories. You'll always share some basic duties and details; and they can be pretty cut and dry. For example, "At the free clinic, I checked in patients and learned how to take vitals. I interacted with approximately 20 patients during every four-hour shift." But you must also include what you got out of this experience, preferably using an engaging anecdote. "One patient, Linda…" If you don't think you have a specific story to tell, keep thinking. You'll likely be able to find one. You'll be surprised at how much of a story you can fit into 700 characters. But don't worry about going over it in your first draft. You can pare down later, if necessary.
