Some people have been telling me I have to get a postbacc and have no shot of getting in with this GPA. I find this disheartening especially since, if I went off of my last 120 undergrad credits, my GPA would be far, far higher. I really don't want to do a postbacc as this 10+ year journey to pursue medicine has been really hard
Can you give us a timeline and GPAs by year? You don't tell us what your GPA trend is so don't keep us guessing.

Your application looks pretty solid for DO except for the GPA, despite the upward trend. Your story might make up for the GPA for a handful of MD schools, but I think it would be a gamble. Med Schools will want to see you as someone who has a high probability of succeeding academically, and I'm not sure you've quite proven that yet. You can try to apply, and someone may give you a shot. However, a DIY post bacc can cement your application.

I'd love to see you succeed!
