Posting for a friend who does not have access to a working computer at the moment.

Cumulative GPA 3.36
Science GPA 3.17
What score should she aim for/receive on her MCAT?
Is applying for Osteopathic Medical Schools too much of a reach?

EC: Lots of volunteering, shadowing and work experience.

For MD schools, she should aim for a score above 32 due to her low GPA.

For DO schools, she can re-take undergrad classes in which she did bad and boost her AACOMAS GPA. She will then need to score above 28 to be competitive at all DO schools and above 25 to be competitive for some DO schools. She will also need to do some DO shadowing and it will be best if she has a DO LOR too.

I thought that with her low science gpa that any MCAT score would not be able to alleviate the numbers. She is not planning to retake any classes, I also advised her on that but she does not have that kind of money. However above a 28 MCAT score sounds about right.
