I posted a few months ago but didn't have shadowing or an MCAT score then. I'd like to make a school list would appreciate input. Please! and Thank you!

-Non-trad student (27 years old) - VA resident-ORM
-3.4 cumulative undergrad, 3.0 undergrad science GPA (dual degrees one BS one BA)
-3.6 GPA for Masters in microbiology
-AACOM=cGPA=3.46, sGPA=3.30, non-sGPA=3.65.
-AMCAS=cGPA=3.37, sGPA=3.26
-Last 50 credits (all science) GPA = 3.8.
-MCAT=28 [10/9/9] (6 points under AAMC and TBR practice test average, therefore repeated in Sept; waiting for score)
-1st author paper and 2nd author paper both in impact level 4+ journals and also oral presentations
-2000+ volunteer hours of EMS experience
-800+ volunteer hours for community service (big brother, feeding homeless, Special Olympics, tutoring)
-50 hours shadowing ER doc (DO), 50 hours internal medicine, 25 hours orthopedic surgery, 16 hours ophthalmology, 16 hours surgical oncology (NEW!)
-Held a full time job through almost all of school (since 16)

Below are the schools I have sent my application to. Where else should I be applying? I know its late, but I expected to do so much better on the MCAT. I would appreciate any input. Thank you so much!

Looks like a good list. Suggest adding more DO schools. Suggest NYIT, Touro-NY, MUCOM for starters.

Thank you!!! I'll send my application to those schools this evening. What about DMU, AZCOM, and ATSU?
Any other options for MD and DO?

AZCOM has their noses in the air and will reject anyone with a MCAT <29. DMU, CCOM and ATSU are fine additions.

Great. Thank you. I'll see what I score on my MCAT repeat and consider AZCOM if I improved.

Just wanted to update in case it helps people. I was accepted to two DO schools and my top choice MD school.

My GPA is similar to yours, as well as your first MCAT. Can I ask if you improved significantly on your new MCAT? Thanks.
