Hi guys, I know my stats are very bad
I have a science GPA of 3.14 (orgo destroyed me) and a cumulative GPA of 3.4.
I am Applying for the 2014 class.
My MCAT scores were 7PS-9VR-7BS. (Planning on retaking in September)

I have over 1400 hours of experience as a scribe in the emergency room and 120 hours of volunteer and shadowing experience which include M.D. and D.O.

Tons of non specific diverse ECs including school activities and community service.

I am a Chicago Resident.

I have narrowed my schools down to these few

A.T. Still University, Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine, MO
A.T. Still University, School of Osteopathic Medicine in Arizona, AZ
Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine, AL
Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine of Midwestern University, AZ
Campbell University School of Osteopathic Medicine, NC
Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine of Midwestern University, Admissions Office, IL
Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine, IA
Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine - Carolinas Campus, SC
Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine -Virginia Campus, VA
Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences, College of Osteopathic Medicine, MO
Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine - Erie/Seton Hill, PA
Lincoln Memorial University - DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine, TN
Marian University College of Osteopathic Medicine, IN
Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine, MI
Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine, FL

Rocky Vista University College of Osteopathic Medicine, College of Osteopathic Medicine, CO
Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine in New York, NY
University of Pikeville-Kentucky, College of Osteopathic Medicine, KY

Thanks for the help in advance!

all of these are pretty unlikely with 3.4/3.14/23.

Add PNWU (if from or have ties to pacific NW), WCU and PCOM-Ga (if from or have ties to south or southeast), and COMP-NW

With those listed gpas, I think you should aim for a 28+ on your second attempt. Good luck

If you haven't submitted your primary then I would honestly recommend you take a year off and retake the mcat ( or if you've been studying then retake it in August and apply in septemeber).

I agree. I would also say KCUMB is pretty unlikely with those stats.

OP, your stats are unfortunately pretty evenly low. That doesn't mean you're doomed, but it does mean that its an uphill battle. If you have the money to reapply, you can just go ahead see what happens, but if you don't, it may be safer to do what serenade says and reapply next year after you retake the MCAT. Having a 27-29 will significantly improve your chances of getting acceptances.

I would plan on a retake only if you're scoring 28 to low 30s consistently.

Otherwise, I would take a year off to bolster your resume and do well on the MCAT. You might be able to sneak into a lower-stat school.

Narrow down? With those stats I would apply to every school. You are not very competitive without that retake.

Don't bother because of MCAT. Very unlikely due to regional bias

I would also scratch NSU-COM off your list.
