Hello! So my MCAT retake is out and I scored a 29. PS 11 VR 8 BS 10. My GPA is 3.9 and science is 3.86. I am a Colombian-Iranian female, know Spanish because I spent a year in Spain teaching English, medical scribe, year of college soccer and Army ROTC, and am going to be finishing up my degree for my honors thesis and so don't currently have research but will be completing it this year. These are my schools and was wondering if anyone had comments on my chances/more schools I should be considering. Thanks for any help!!

If you are not an OR resident, delete OHSU. Your chances at UCSD and USC are quite small. Are you dedicated to serving Christ through a mission of healing? If not, delete Loma Linda. Are you sure you are ready for the military? Like Loma Linda, it's a mission-based school (different mission!).

Start with @Goro's list and review the MSAR to come up with a list tailored to you. Not the free one with teaser info, the $25 one.

Hello so yes I am from Oregon so that is why OHSU and I'm seventh day so I understand about Loma Linda. I haven't decided to contract with the Army I just did two terms in my undergrad. Also I am applying now and am already verified. I've finished around 11 secondaries and was thinking of adding a few more to my list after I finish them all.

Since you are an Oregon resident your chances as an OOS applicant with a MCAT of 29 at OOS public schools would be very low. So consider deleting these:

2) Univ of Arizona Phoenix
3)Univ of Central Florida
4) FIU Herbert Wertheim
6) Univ of Arizona-Tucson
12) Keck Sch. of Med.
15) UCSD
16) Univ of Colorado
17) USF Health Morsani
Dartmouth is a reach so realistically the other 8 schools on your list are the ones where you could receive an interview. These would be:
1) Quinnipiac University
5) Loyola University Chicago
8) Loma Linda University
9)VCU
10) Georgetown University
11) Eastern Virginia Medical School
13) Oregon Health and Science
14) Temple University
8 schools is too few to apply to so consider adding more low tier and new medical schools such as Drexel, Jefferson, New York Medical, Albany, Commonwealth (PA), GW, Oakland Beaumont, Western Michigan, Rosalind Franklin, St. Louis, Creighton. Also at least 5 DO programs of your choice and location would be a good idea since MD acceptance with a MCAT of 29 is not guaranteed.
