Ugh just got my scores today.

VR 8
PS 9
BS 10

Should I retake? I've got alright ECs

80 hours of clinical shadowing.
900+ hours of clinical volunteering.
Eagle Scout.
1 year resident assistant.
President of our biology honors fraternity on campus.
1 summer research internship / national conference presentation of it
2 years personal research at school.
Lab assistant in our bio department.

I go to a small liberal arts school in pa and here is my list of primary app schools:

Duke
GWU
Georgetown
Drexel
Johns Hopkins (lol)
Loma Linda
Jefferson
Marshall
More house
Penn state
Temple
Commonwealth
UNC
UPITT
UVA
wake forest.

Can y'all gimme a reality check on whether or not I should retake? Or if I still have a shot at getting in to any on my list?

its quite late, even if you submitted today you wouldnt be verified til mid/late september
and with a 27 your chances are slim to none

retake and take a year, it sucks... but the MCAT this late was a gamble and it didnt pay off

I probably wouldn't apply with that score. I know this isn't what you want to hear but I would highly recommend taking a year off or applying DO. This process is extremely competitive.

I don't know anything else about DO I only know about MD. If you can get this thread moved into the "What Are My Chances" forum then they should be able to help you out over there.

According to this table about 2/3 of the people with your gpa/mcat range get in. It's worth a shot at some of the schools on your list. Good luck! I hope it works out!

All I have to say is it doesn't hurt to try. Go for it OP. Your GPA is very competitive and your EC are good! You got it! Apply broadly and you have a chance.
