Undergrad: University of Miami (organic chemistry and physics taken at University of South Florida)
cGPA 3.98
sGPA: 4.0
MCAT: 31

Extra-Curriculars
1. Secretary for Ethics Society- only in my senior year
2. LBGT alliance club
3. Up 'Til Dawn (cancer charity club)
4. One summer of research (around ~200 hours, no publications)
5. 80 hours of clinical volunteering in an ER
6. 200 hours of shadowing a FP, internist, surgeon, pathologist, and dermatologist
7. Mediocre letters of recommendation

What are my chances of getting into one of the schools I listed?

Edit: I won't be applying this year. This is what I expect to have completed by the time I apply.

For MD-only, chance of an acceptance for All Applicants in the last three years applying with a 3.98/31 were about 81+%: http://forums.studentdoctor.net/showthread.php?t=888650

Though your shadowing is very good, it's probably a good idea to keep beefing up your "eh" ECs through the application year for the sake of Secondary questions, update letters, and interview conversations. And in case you need to reapply.
 
Why not apply to some out of state schools?
 
What's the standard number of schools people apply to?

Are there any oos MD schools with really low standards?
